Brussels-based guitarist Vitja Pauwels has become indispensable in the Belgian jazz scene. He is inspired by masters such as Bill Frisell, Daniel Lanois and Ry Cooder and has already worked with Marc Ribot and Jakob Bro. He put together his band during a residency in late 2022. Early Life Forms consists of Vitja, Frederic Leroux, Casper Van De Velde and Laurens Dierickx. Musically, they dance on the common ground between Latin jazz, grooving rock and filmic explorations.

As a classically trained musician and modular synthesizer developer, Steyaert pours his sound experiments into intimate songs. Sometimes threatening, sometimes explosive, yet ever-alluring. Léonard Steyaert currently works as a programmer/developer for Shakmat Modular and is a resident artist at Volta Brussels."
