The artist participating this year: ISMO, ELKAN, DODO, L’AS 2 PIQUE, OSKY, NESS, MAYLIS & PETIT BISON

Live music and theatre performances, an exhibition of visual art, basically: BIG IN BXL will be an exciting evening of culture, with work created by an ambitious group of young Brussels artists. All the artists take part in the JES-AB residence, a week-long programme where they get the opportunity to give free rein to their creativity, to experiment, and to collaborate with other artists. And all that in the inspiring environs of AB.

During that week, various workshops and masterclasses are also organised to assist the artists in developing new ideas and techniques. The new creations that arise (music, theatre, photography, video, video projection, and graphic design) will be presented to the public on the last day of the residency, during a grand display moment. A wonderful opportunity for the young generation to present their work to a broad audience and thus develop further as artists. Right now they’re still BIG IN BXL, but they may soon be big far beyond our national borders.
