This unique collaborative project of Dennis Tyfus (piano, guitar) and Jeroen Stevens (percussion and other instruments) released their debut album 'Siamese Dream (Team)' in 2023 on Antwerpse Edições CN. Boomkat commented: "The Belgian duo of outsider Dennis Tyfus and percussionist Jeroen Stevens are theatrical and eccentric. An album for fans of Ghédalia Tazartès, and we don't say that lightly... Tyfus is at the top of his game here, panting and moaning as if completely isolated, while Stevens dabs random organ wisps over slow-moving sustained drones. It would be easy to suggest a link with South Asian music, but it's too obvious - if Tyfus and Stevens make a conscious reference, it's to parody its application in contemporary experimental music...
Adia Vanheerentals
You may know this young saxophonist from her Bodem project (with Willem Malfliet and Anke Verslype), her various collaborations with Hendrik Lasure or her solo work as an improvisational artist. She was selected by Klara radio as one of the 'Twintigers', 10 promising young musicians/composers on the verge of breaking through. We're delighted to be seeing her solo for the first time on an AB stage.
