An exchange-desk will be opened for some sold-out concerts (recognizable on the website by the exchange-desk logo). The idea is to bring together people looking for tickets and people who have tickets left over. Do you have extra tickets or are you still looking for tickets, then don't buy or sell them on the street, come and check at the desk instead.
"The xx have made an almost perfect debut." (Humo)
"This year's most beautiful debut." (RifRaf)
The xx hail from South London and have reaped nothing but (inter)national praise for their debut ‘xx’. "So much beauty, control and focus. Knowing that the band-members are barely twenty only makes it all sounds even more impressive" wrote Humo recently. Their slow, flawless songs often recall the spirit of Joy Division, Young Marble Giants, Hot Chip as well as R&B. The xx themselves quote The Cure, Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott and CocoRosie as their greatest influences. Their version of ‘Teardrops’ (by Womack & Womack) or Aaliyah's ‘Hot Like Fire’ already stirred dust up in the past. They've also toured successfully, as support act to Florence + The Machine. Fait divers: The xx know one another from the Elliot School, known for fellow graduates Hot Chip, Four Tet and Burial. We're already fans.
Support act to THE xx concert will be These New Puritans from Britain. Their debut 'Beat Pyramid' was described by leading magazine Pitchfork Media as follows: "Whether you're a longtime fan of Joy Division or a booster of Bloc Party, there's much you'll find familiar on the debut LP of These New Puritans". Their follow-up 'Hidden' is to be relased any day now.
