Mark Lanegan presents his latest album ‘Phantom Radio’.
We will always – read: ALWAYS! – receive Mark Lanegan with open arms. His raw, weathered voice, in combination with biting rock-guitars, is (after all those years of practise) still the guarantee for 100% steaming rock ’n roll. What's more, Lanegan won't be arriving empty-handed but with a brand new album bearing the name ‘Phantom Radio’.
Noteworthy: ‘Phantom Radio’ was mainly composed on Lanegan’s mobile phone by means of the ‘Funk Box’ app. So more electronica and more beats. But his predilection for krautrock and the new wave of the ’80s - Echo And The Bunnymen, Rain Parade,... – also seeps through in abundance. Lanegan’s latest is coloured Belgian this time too, by the input of Aldo Struyf and Frederique Lyenn, amongst others.
Mark: a heartfelt welcome back!
