What a relief, Kyteman is still around. After that brilliant visit to AB, in September 2010 during the Car-Free Sunday, Kyteman seemed to have disappeared from the 'musical landscape'. But nothing could be further from the truth: in spring 2012 there will finally be a new CD out via Rough Trade - recorded in his very own Kytopia studio - and at the same time also a tour of the Benelux that ends in the AB on a Saturday evening! Party with brains and bravery!
These days it's extended to Kyteman Orchestra. Expect a concert with more ambiance this time too, with even more interaction between the musicians and pioneer-trumpet player Colin Benders. The new show will be no all-stars repeat of the tracks from the first album, no, the audience will be challenged, surprised and taken along on the exploratory journey that Benders himself experienced over the last year and a half. Be prepared, this is impressive!
