Fierce funk, dark blues, black roots!
Fantastic Negrito is a fierce American funk phenomenon. The man has literally survived 'street shit... clubs and bitches and bullshit politics...' a number of times, including an almost fatal car crash. His latest album is rightly titled 'Please Don't Be Dead'. And he really is fantastic, especially live (as was recently reconfirmed in the De Roma). In the meantime, he has also won a Grammy, and then for best 'blues' CD. In any event, his music is wholehearted and passionate 'black roots, urgent, desperate, edgy...'.
