Two hip hop pioneers pay homage to “The Godfather of hip hop”

One of a kind, this! A couple of hip hop pioneers pay homage to hip hop legend Afrika Bambaataa or “The Godfather of Hip Hop”. Turntablist Cut Chemist we know from Ozomatli and Jurassic 5, and Dj Shadow is actually synonymous with the classic "Endtroducing".

Both have delved into Bambaataa's legendary record collection, which has something like 40,000 vinyls (!). DJ Shadow: “His collection includes not just soul and rap, but also soca, calypso, dub, salsa,etc.” The tour is named “The Renegades of Rhythm”, the visual design is brilliant - as ever - and there will be 6 turntables constantly on the go. Dj Shadow: “It’s going to be epic!”
