Rousing alternative-but-danceable rock, by the neighbours
From Nijmegen: alternative, yet danceable, rock with its very own identity! The five-members of De Staat, already world-famous in The Netherlands for a while now, grooved inimitably again on versatile fourth longplayer ‘O’ (out since 14/01 via Caroline Records), the successor to ‘I_CON’ from 2013.
The last single from that previous album, ‘Witch Doctor’, was accompanied by an extremely intriguing video (with frontman Torre Florim in a voodoo-ish leading role) that no less than exploded on the worldwide web. The counter has registered almost 2 million views and the door in the direction of the rest of Europe is certainly standing wide open: De Staat recently announced a European tour as support to Muse in May ’16.
