De Beren Gieren presents ‘Less Is Endless’

De Beren Gieren is considered to be one of the most adventurous bands in the Benelux and without a doubt belongs to the cream crème de la crème of the Belgian jazz scene. So it’s no wonder that AB has been home to the band since 2016.

Their brand new album ‘Less Is Endless’ - produced by Dijf Sanders - is actually and ode to the universe. It is a search for open routes. The cultivation of the incomplete whereby "The Missing Piece of the Puzzle " appeals more to the imagination than the perfect finished whole.

Steiger presents ‘The New Lady Llama’

Steiger not just a band, but a continuous work-in-progress. Gilles Vandecaveye (keyboards), Kobe Boon (bass) and Simon Raman (drums) eagerly explore the boundaries of jazz and enthusiastically dive into other worlds (contemporary music, electronica, pop, free improvisation …), but essentially remain loyal to the progressive basic principle of the genre; that of the flexible transformation.

Their latest issue ‘The New Lady Llama’ refers to the urge to create a new sound. Steiger as storyteller, losing itself in fantasy, and that at a time when the absurdity of fiction is exceeded by that of reality.
