In our new podcast Guestlist, Studio Brussel presenter Rik De Bruycker takes a look behind the scenes of AB once a month. 

“It took a while, and numerous visits, but then it suddenly dawned on me: this AB programming is not just a random collection of bands and concerts. The things that are happening across the world, that is what you see at work on the legendary Ancienne Belgique stage. 

In Guestlist, I will be talking to two important AB artists each month, taking a closer look at the latest music news and inviting both musicians and listeners on a journey into the musical universe of this legendary Brussels venue.

In the first episode (in Dutch only), we’ll be discussing the Belgian Jazz Scene with Mattias Decraene and Lefto. Is ‘BBC Sound Of...’ over- or underrated? We find out with Ayco Duyster, Black Mamba, Josefien Wouters & Eppo Janssen. Rik sends Stefanie Mannaerts (Brutus) off to a surprise concert, and the AB’s very own Anysa Grammenoudis shares her current favourite record.
