Poetic Brussels rapper goes solo
CRC is a Brussels rapper, perhaps known to you from his group NUPS3E. Since 2023, he’s also been appearing solo, including a visit to AB as support for citymate Peet.
His first album La Pluie (Acte I) was released mid-2023 under the protective wings of the J&A label/collective and Brussels label Labrique, also the home of Swing, Primero and Shaka Shams. Not even a year later, there’s a second EP Pleurez (Acte II), a real concept album with sincere lyrics that create a true and direct connection with the listener.
CRC makes a savoureuse genre-fusion of rap, French chanson, R&B and a dash of Afro. Buddy Swing, with whom he has frequently shared a stage in recent months, can be heard on the track Décembre. The superb first single JM Weston, with a clip by Misha Van der Werf, immediately draws you into his universe. CRC has found an entirely own style within the rich Brussels rap-landscape. He comes to present it in the intimate atmosphere of AB Club with a full live band.
