Belgium's new music sensation
Charles is a tribute to the first name of her maternal grandfather, who supported her passion for music from a very young age. Charlotte Foret was born in 2001 near Waterloo (Belgium), under a lucky star, the one of the rock revival. She's as old as Last Nite, the first single of the Strokes, one of her favorite bands. It was anything but a coincidence. At the age of 11 she discovers Nirvana. It was a shock, a revelation, rock music entered her life forever. During an audition for the dance show, her teacher tells her: "Forget it, you are not made to sing". It doesn't take much to convince Charlotte of the contrary: "I will be a singer". Driven by the spirit of revenge and a growing infatuation for music, she dedicated her adolescence to learning the piano-. Charlotte gradually shapes her universe and her voice by multiplying solo and group projects and forges her artistic identity by listening to Muse, Tamino, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Radiohead and Tame Impala. Charlotte leaves her victory in The Voice Belgium with a beautiful revenge and especially a conviction: "From now on, music is my whole life".
