Glorious return of Black Box to AB!

What in god’s name would be the next genius step that Black Box Revelation could take after a musical adventure lasting almost ten years, three albums full of powerful stuff and a handful of radio hits? After blowing away prestigious stages nationally and internationally, doing support-acts for the likes of Beady Eye and Iggy Pop, an exciting tour of the US, recordings with producer Alain Johannes (Queens Of The Stone Age), their music turning up in tv-series like ‘True Blood’, and a guest role on the famous David Letterman show?

The answer: simply make a fourth album. BBR headed to New York and dove into the studio with producer Thomas Brenneck (who deliberately renounces the digital age). Brenneck has already worked as producer for D’Angelo, Alabama Shakes and Charles Bradley and was once a part of the famous Dap-Kings (see: Sharon Jones) – which resulted in him being heard on Amy Winehouse’s classic ‘Back To Black’.

First single – and forerunner for the album ‘Highway Cruiser’ – ‘Gloria’ is already a hit with the wonderful backing vocals of Brooklyn’s The Gospel Queens. Black Box Revelation: welcome back to AB!
