Dutch-language indie-pop sensation presents debut album
“Liever snel naar de hel dan traag naar de hemel”, Bazart’s free interpretation of ‘live fast, die young’ will no doubt be the slogan of the coming festival summer.
“Ik zie goud aan de rand van de zon / Ik ben te oud om te weten waarom / Mijn trein op het foute perron / Breintrein zoekt nieuw wagon’’, blazing urban poetry in Instagram colours. It’s pop in your native language, such as is rarely heard. Bazart cuts up, kneads and rehashes the Dutch language, letting it flow softly, snug in the groove.
Debuted on tiptoes with ‘Tunnels’, about a year ago now, and got up to speed with ‘Goud’ (already good for more than 6 months of airplay!), Bazart is now making a charming rush upon Flanders and The Netherlands.
