Belgium’s most musically contrary duo. Arno is die hard fan.
Autumn Falls
Autumn Falls is taking over clubs in Brussels again for a fourth edition in 2013. Numerous sold-out shows by Low, Pinback, SX, Beach House, Ty Segall, WHY?, Metronomy, Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm among others, made for memorable previous editions. This year moreover, the indoor city festival will not be limited to just one week, but it will extend over a longer period, from late November until the first week of December. The aim is, as always, to present a first-rate line-up with an eye for both audience favourites and exciting new discoveries.

Madensuyu
Glad to have Madensuyu back on the musical battlefield! Following on from two solid albums - ‘A Field Between’ (‘06) and ‘D Is Done’ (‘08) – they'll be releasing a third later this year: ‘Stabat Mater’. The title refers to a hymn from the Middle Ages that has been masterfully put to music in the past by classical composers like Vivaldi, Pergolesi and Arvo Pärt. It Is this theme (the loss of a child, which forms the focal point of ‘Stabat Mater’) that serves as a point of departure for the latest Madensuyu album.
The making of… took three years, but the album itself was recorded raw and uncut in only 5 days with the assistance of co-producer Peter Vermeersch (see: Flat Earth Society but also ‘Worst Case Scenario’ by dEUS).
During Autumn Falls you can already witness the world première.
Tugrul & Hasan
Opener will be Turkish duo Tugrul & Hasan, or Tugrul Yücesan and Hasan Tirpan in full. With the assistance of typical Turkish percussion, and ditto string and wind instruments (davul, zurna, and saz), Tugrul & Hasan serve up - you guessed it already - traditional Turkish music.
