Friday 28 februari @ AB:
19u00 Club: Yuko
The essence of fresh and effervescent. See CDs: For Times When Ears Are Sore and As If We Were Dancing. With a new, third CD out in early 2014. Indeed, suddenly with elements of classical and opera music!? Plus a fresh line-up, apparently: Kristof Deneijs (vocals - guitar), Karen Willems (drums - Zita Swoon / Inwolves), Jasper Maekelberg (guitar - Faces On TV / produced for the likes of Mintzkov) and Thomas Mortier (bass). Yu! KO!

19u40 Box: King Dalton
Royal alias for folk wizards Pieter and Jonas De Meester, Thomas Vincke and 2 musical icons tout court: Jorunn Bauweraerts (Lais/Prima Donkey) and Tomas De Smet (Zita Swoon/Think of One/Broken Circle Breakdown Band). Avant garde folk-blues and a debut CD that sounds 'melancholic like Karen Dalton, groovy like Morphine, raw like Tow Waits & sexy like Prince, that's the sound of King Dalton!' Ah bon!

20u30 Club: The Feather
A newcomer in de Belgian music scene! The Feather is the side project of Thomas Medard, singar/guitar player of the band Dan San. The result of his work is ‘Invisible’, which he created himself entirely, meaning that he produced, recorded and mixed it on his own. The result is a dreamy and melancholy music that invites you to a soft and emotional journey.

21u20 Box: Vismets
Fed by various experiences and influences, Vismets is on the verge of finishing their second album album. A vein that always has rock flowing through it but one that contains rather more pop and psyche. The band from Brussels can't wait to get back up on stage to share this new universe and to again play those strong titles that get the masses dancing!

22u30 Club: Robbing Millions
Excited as ever, the five musicians of Robbing Millions land straight into the heart of the Brussels sun and send us their first auto-produced EP ‘Ages and Sun’ – released in January this year – in the flesh. With six tracks they manage to win you over thanks to a dominant guitar that, with the help of arpeggio and crazy riffs, produces an open-hearted and intelligent indie-pop work that decorates every instrumental melody. They won the Verdur Rock 2013 contest and have since made their way to various festival stages such as Les Nuits Botanique, Dour, Les Ardentes, Deep in the Woods and Boomtown.

19u00 Rotonde: Billions Of Comrades
The winner of the Concours Circuit Pop-Rock 2012! Billions of Comrades structures its music upon beats, danceable vibes and taut hymns. This foursome combines diverse genres into an enthralling, groovy and explosive performance. The four musicians are influenced by the indie and underground scene and present direct, powerful and original music.

19u40 Orangerie: Hitsville Drunks
Mauro P on the power-pop! Oh my, santé! A toast to, let's see: Herman Houbrechts (Nemo, The Grooms), Sjoerd Bruil (Sukilove, Broken Glass Heroes, Dez Mona), Jan Wygers (Creature With The Atom Brain) and, indeed, none less than Mauro Pawlowski (known to you from Evil Superstars and dEUS, plus many more diverse impressive excursions.) Sincerely Average is the CD, what a title!

20u30 Rotonde: Nicolas Michaux
Nicolas Michaux has certainly gotten around, over the last two years. From Congo to Denmark, from Canada to Italy. This young man hasn't even taken the time to unpack his suitcase properly, but then he has taken the time to study his contemporaries extensively.
Each and every day, lyrics were written in international Engels or old-fashioned French. And those lyrics became songs. About politics and love. Like a craftsman, who refines his work 100 times, Nicolas has composed, played and recorded thirty or so songs about his everyday doings. Now the time has come to tie them down, to install himself (a little) somewhere, and share his songs with us.
21u30 Orangerie: Mintzkov
A name like a rocking comet. Forever winners of the Rock Rally 2000. With a keen live reputation reaching as far as Germany and doing a considerable club-tour of the Benelux around the new year. Latest, fourth, CD Sky Hits Ground is soon to be released in France too. On Studio Brussel there's also a tight Stromae cover doing the rounds (do we hear 'You were wonderful, I was a wandering fool'?)

22u30 Rotonde: The Sore Losers
A winning team from Limburg, despite an honourable placing in the final of the Rock Rally 2010, and they definitely still have the goriest clip in the history of ABBota. Intense and cheerful and over the top. Very playful and compelling live, see: that sold-out ABClub in late 2013. The AB man on the spot spoke of 'burly, substantially stewed 70's guitar-rock.' That can happen if you go record in a studio once used by Led Zeppelin.
