Silence Is Sexy se concentre sur les (nouveaux) compositeurs classiques contemporains de plus en plus en vogue dans le milieu de la pop. Ces derniers évoluent dans un univers dominé par la musique classique mais n'hésitent pas à recourir à l'électronica pour un résultat souvent unique.

Fait #1: On a toujours envie d'Ă©crire Neuten Ă la place de Nueten, mais c'est une erreur.
Fait #2: Aux yeux du grand public, il reste un illustre inconnu alors qu'on a pu l'entendre aux cÎtés de dEUS, Daan, Admiral Freebee et Zita Swoon.

Earth, Cat Power, Matana Roberts, David Byrne, Laura Veirs et Wolves in the Throne Room. Ce n'est là qu'un maigre aperçu des artistes avec lesquels la compositrice et violoncelliste de formation classique Lori Goldston a partagé la scÚne. Et on a délibérément omis de citer Nirvana pour lequel elle est apparue sur le « Unplugged in New York ». Ses albums les plus récents sont sortis sur le label belge Sub Rosa et les renommés Mississippi Records éditent aussi volontiers ses disques. En live, elle se produit uniquement en acoustique.
