There were four rounds of live selections for Sound Track – the brand new course of stages and opportunities for artists with talent and ambition – taking place in Brussels too over the past few weeks. This evening the six Brussels finalists were made known, as apotheosis of the last selection round in Youth Club De Schakel (Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe).
It was close running in Zinnema, Youth Club Tongeluk, VOLTA and Youth Club De Schakel but the jury finally managed to make the big decision: Coline & Toitoine, Forest Africa Danse Music, JAKOMO, Linca, M.Chuzi, PEGA are the six chosen ones. Together, they are currently the to-be-discovered talent in Brussels and a musical translation of what’s happening here. The six will perform for the Brussels finale of Sound Track at Ancienne Belgique on December 7. The artists will be prepped for the experience by AB and The Brussels Youth Clubs.
What is at stake in the finale? Three highly-prized spots in Track 2020, a customised course in which everything is possible for a year: from personal professional guidance, residences in AB, recording time in professional studios, national exposure to shows in a brand new performance circuit of Flemish Youth Clubs. Sound Track gives artists a unique opportunity to take it up a gear.
