On the fifth floor of AB, they keep their fingers on the musical pulse. There are 5 of them, our programmers, and each has their own musical (and sometimes overlapping) tastes. Each week in this section, you will be presented with a top album and a playlist with the favourite tracks of the moment. This week: Tarik's selection! 
 

Tarik especially loves indie, rock, metal, hip-hop and electronica. In AB, he has already programed the better sort of indie (Mac Demarco, Kikagaky Moyo, Wild Nothing, Whitney, Gus Daperton,…), some staunch guitars (Alice in Chains, Deafheaven, Sleep, Thrice,…), a few of the finer electronica acts (Ross From Friends, Maribou State,…) and some hip-hop here and there too (Jpegmafia, Denzel Curry, Loyle Carner,…). His favourite bands are, amongst others, The War On Drugs, Death Cab For Cutie, Cigarettes After Sex, Touché Amoré, Title Fight, Balance and Composure, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean en J. Cole.

“Denzel Curry is one of those artists that makes hip-hop but is actually pure punk! When he last appeared at Pukkelpop, the audience went so wild that the wooden floor was actually moshed to pieces, literally. Their latest album ‘ZUU’, released at the end of May, is again full of heavy beats and inspiring lyrics. In an age in which it is often all about individual tracks, Denzel manages to keep your attention for 12 tracks long."
