BRDCST
BRDCST focuses on musical boundlessness, a theme that also recurs in the hip-hop scene. After BRDSCT, the month April will be further filled with hip-hop toppers à la Roméo Elvis and Akua Naru. No biggie.
Vels Trio
Exactly 15 years ago, Madlib put out the iconic 'Shades Of Blue' on jazz label Blue Note. The album was a re-work of jazz classics and will be played at BRDCST by Vels Trio, a headstrong English jazz band that blends jazz with not only hip-hop maar but also soul and electronica.
So it’s something for Madlib fans as well as jazz, soul, electronica and hip-hop fanatics.
Here live in Gilles Peterson’s basement:

ANTWON
Punk and hip-hop have proven to be a perfect match on many occasions: Think Beastie Boys, Kid Rock or the late Lil Peep. Antwon also presents the two genres together in songs like 'Sitting in Hell' or 'My Turn to Die'. You can come worship the rapper from California (see: the video of ‘100k’, in which he plays a sect leader) on 18-04 in our AB Club.

AKUA NARU
Think: Erykah Badu, Nneka, The Roots, etc. : Hip-hop with a lot of jazz, soul and a message. The calming ‘Poetry’ is a perfect example of this. Music that you have to experience live, not to be missed!
