In collaboration with Liveurope, AB organises the fourth Europe Day on May 9. In order to celebrate European music in appropriate style, there will be debates and concerts taking place.
The concept? A year and a half after the Brexit referendum, we haven’t forgotten our British friends: we are more than happy to spotlight up-and-coming London jazz talents and present a strong and positive vision of Europe that is also valid on the other side of The Channel.
On May 9, the afternoon starts with 2 debates.
The first, ‘London calling for an ever more European music scene’ will be about the impact of the Brexit on the music world. In the second debate, ‘Is music that extra touch of soul missing from the European narrative?’, the likes of Aurélie Poppins (Cocaine Piss) will be discussing European values and identity .
The day will conclude in the AB Club, where the second part of the latest release by Brownswood Recordings – ‘We out here’ – will be represented by Joe Armon-Jones and Theon Cross.
