Antony Hegarty (formerly known as Antony & The Johnsons) is now to be known as ANOHNI and her first musical statement is titled ‘Hopelessness’. Admittedly: it takes a little getting used to the raw sounds of electronica masters like Oneohtrix Point Never (who already worked with Antony in 2010) and Hudson Mohawke (see too: Kanye West, Drake,…) who musically coloured in the whole. But: after a few listens, the collective (inter)national press has only had words of praise for it. Read along with us?
