Seeing as it will soon be International ALS Day (21 June), AB has decided to support the ALS Liga Belgium by, from now on, putting aside the beaker deposits that are not collected.
When people who order a drink in AB don't ask for their beaker deposit (20 eurocent) then that money goes go to a good cause. In previous months money has gone to support Kom op Tegen Kanker and as of 11 November 2012 that will again be the case, as that is when the new KOTK campaign will be launched.  Until then though we'll be donating to the ALS Liga Belgium in support of International ALS Day on 21 June. ALS stands for Amyotrofe Lateraal Sclerose and is an illness whereby muscles deteriorate (for more info about ALS, visit the ALS Liga Belgim website). Thanks to everyone who regularly donates their beaker deposits at concerts in AB, but also at the Boterhammen in het Park and Feeërieën!
