Arno passed away this weekend and so AB is deeply mourning. The departure of Le Plus Beau, uncle Arno, may not have been a complete surprise but it still hit us hard. AB was Arno’s second living room, Arno was a favourite regular guest for us.

Many colleagues worked closely or remotely with this BelPop icon. The part that Arno played in the contemporary pop and rock scene can hardly be overstated. The last concerts he recently played at AB will always be cherished.
Because we, as a house of music, are only as great as the shoulders we stand on, we must honour our musical gods. That’s why – after consulting Arno’s closest family – we’ll be opening a condolence register in AB Café (Steenstraat 11), also one of Arno’s regular haunts, and this as of Monday evening on 25 April. This book will be available during the evening hours, from 6pm to 11pm, when you are no longer able to access the Brussels City Hall (11am - 6pm). At the moment it is difficult to estimate how long the register will be available.
Thanks to everyone who has helped to make this possible, and strength wished to everyone who carries Arno in their heart.
