The 33-year-old Yazmin Lacey is a late bloomer, in the sense that she has been involved with music for a long time, but has only effectively released things in recent years. Her recent debut album "Voice Notes" is a fine example of this. A jazzy record full of deep soul and occasional electronica. A record that, according to Yazmin herself, pursues "the beauty of imperfection."
