Statement from Daniel Lanois:
“Due to bronchitis I'm afraid I have had to cancel my November Euro tour with Venetian Snares.
For all to know that Venetian Snares is a massive force of a talent, I’m very proud of our recorded works, and so it breaks my heart to not be able to accompany my friend on this live performance excursion.
A thank you to our promoters and music lovers for accommodating this change of plan.
Health comes first.
All my love,”
Daniel Lanois
Unique and somewhat surprising collaboration between two top Canadian producers and musicians. Venetian Snares – the alter-ego of the coolest name ever: Aaron Funk – has been releasing intense and intriguing breakcore albums for years. On his magnificent album ‘Rossz Csillag Alatt Született’ (‘05) however he nonetheless visited the world of classical composers like Bartók and Elgar. Multi-instrumentalist Daniel Lanois is not unfamiliar to AB. He has pocketed no less than 11 Grammys, worked together with Brian Eno, and was co-producer of U2’s überclassic ‘The Joshua Tree’.
