Triggerfinger tickets for Saturday 4 December were gone in a flash and because the last tickets for their second show on Friday 3 December are flying out the doors too, the band has decided to play a third and final AB concert. On Sunday 5 December Triggerfinger will close their 3 day AB residence, tickets are on sale from now on.
This year marks the start of a new chapter in the life of Triggerfinger: the gents have just made a trip to the Sound City studio in L.A. (where greats like Nirvana and Metallica passed before them) to work on the successor to ‘What Grab’s Ya?’ - to be released later this year. This third studio album was produced by Greg Gordon, who previously worked with the likes of Wolfmother and Soulwax, Oasis, Slayer, Barkmarket and Evil Superstars. So expectations are high. Triggerfinger will once again convert their tried-and-tested live sound into a throbbing album. The band shall spoil its fans live too, namely, with a concert in the AB on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 December.
Triggerfinger is a three-headed monster, born from the best of what rock history has to offer. Ruben Block, Mario Goossens and Monsieur Paul have been going through life as "The loudest band in Antwerp" for a while now. By now it should also be obvious that not only Antwerp falls for Blok's ravaging riffs, Goossens' sledge-hammer blows and Monsieur Paul's raw bass sound. Triggerfinger guarantees real, top-shelf rock. Sometimes immensely hard but none the less melodious, a tight rhythm section that is sometimes strengthened (and at other times softened) by the versatile vocals and guitars. The past two years have been extremely successful for the Flemish trio. ‘What Grab’s Ya?’ has already sold more than 15,000 copies in the Benelux and they played for a sold-out AB in February 2009 and at all the big festivals in Belgium and Holland (including Pinkpop, Pukkelpop, Lowlands & Rock Werchter).
‘Triggerfinger reveals itself as an unattainable rock monster live.’ (De Volkskrant])
‘As one of the few, Triggerfinger has mastered the art of making even the most gravelly rock swing.’ (NRC)
