AB BOTA, the 4th edition of this unique collaboration between AB and Bota!
Just to be clear: on Friday 26 February you should be sure to head to AB for Absynthe Minded and Joy. Then on Saturday 27 February be sure to pop over to the Bota for The Van Jets and Lyenn. Many more fine names to be announced soon!
The shows commence at 7pm. Tickets are 15 euro in presale and 18 euro at the door, but of course you'll be opting for the COMBI-TICKET for both days at 18 euro in presale. Tickets for Friday can be purchased in the AB. Tickets for Saturday can be purchased in the Bota. Combi-tickets are available at both AB and Bota!
The Van Jets
Finally headlining in the Bota (after sufficient solid sessions in the AB, including for The Datsuns). The Van Jets are those four smart guys from Ostend (and Gent), including the fiery Verschaeve brothers, you know them from fierce guitar hits like 'Ricochet' or 'Electric Soldiers'. Since 2004, you have also known them as winners of Humo's Rock Rally. Congratulations! Now finally present with their new CD and it might just be called 'Cat Fit Fury'. Rock & rut!
Lyenn
This Lyenn is a searing revelation. With blazing praise across the entire country for his debut CD 'The Jollity Of My Boon Companion'. Comparisons are made with Jimi Hendrix, Robert Plant, Jeff Buckley... But then mainly due to the intense combination of that inspiring voice and impressive guitar. 4 out of 5 in De Morgen, 3 out of 4 in Knack Focus, 4 out of 5 in Le Vif Focus, up to and including 3rd in the Top 10 of 2009 according to Le Soir, where we could also read: '...univers magique.
