The band that made waves in the nineties with more than a dozen hits, Noordkaap’s unique live performance is as powerful as ever. Almost a quarter century after the conclusion of this Dutch-language band with Stijn Meuris as singer, it still makes an impression with the performance of classics such as Panamarenko, Een Heel Klein Beetje Oorlog, Wat Is Kunst, Satelliet Suzy, Het Zou Niet Mogen Zijn, Druk In Leuven and Ik Hou Van U (a track that is pretty much a national treasure). During recent concerts they managed to engage and move multiple generations of fans with their rich oeuvre.

Last summer, they performed on dozens of stages spread across the country and rounded off their festival season with a stunning show at the OLT Rivierenhof. In April, Noordkaap also played four times at a sold-out Het Depot, a series of ‘Druk in Leuven’ concerts. After all, this spring it is also exactly thirty years ago that the single Druk In Leuven was forerunner for the album Gigant,– the one that provided Noordkaap with their breakthrough to a wider audience.

After the summer, Noordkaap embark on their WINTERTHUR Theatre Tour for seated audiences. Those concerts will be different. Expect a set of songs that sometimes weren’t heard at past concerts, a different decor and a different experience. Electric, but different, though at least equally intense!
