The Rhythm Junks / It Takes a While

Exciting, unruly and fierce, that is The Rhythm Junks in a nutshell. Like no other band, this trio combines tight and playful grooves with luxuriant flurries of ‘free reed’. Their fourth album 'It Takes a While' is bursting, as usual, with musical playing pleasure and picks up where previous album 'Beaten Borders' left off.

Steven De bruyn, Jasper Hautekiet and Tony Gyselinck have been playing together for more than ten years now and have created a unique and impressive sound with only harmonica, bass, drums and vocals. Within their self-imposed boundaries, these exceptional musicians explore every possibility of the sound spectrum. The Rhythm Junks comprises three generations but, even so, all noses undeniably point in the same direction.
