Following up the extremely successful forerunner 'Given To The Wild', these enthusiastic Brits are finally back with their fourth CD 'Marks To Prove It', out here via Caroline.
It's taken them about three years, in their studio in Elephant & Castle, South London. Apparently that metropolitan neighbourhood was a serious source of inspiration, as evidenced by the cover, song lyrics, clips...
So their previous AB was in November 2012. At the time we quoted from De Standaard: '...bewijzen The Maccabees dat pop geen scheldwoord meer is in indiemiddens.'
Or De Morgen: '...de band zweert bij sfeervolle, gracieus openbloeiende gitaarpop die iets gelaagder gearrangeerd is dan je van een rockgroep zou verwachten.'
