The psych pop songs of The Haunted Youth, the band revolving around singer Joachim Liebens, tell the story of a misfit's doubts and hope. With debut single 'Teen Rebel' the band was crowned one of the winners of Studio Brussels's music competition 'De Nieuwe Lichting' . The Haunted Youth also attracted attention on the other side of the ocean: the influential American online magazine Consequence of Sound writes: 'Guitar-driven and coated in a velvety dream pop haze, The Haunted Youth captures the essence of being young, hungry and hopeful'.
