New-Zeeland's guitar-rock purists The Datsuns are fans of Europe and vice versa: Appeared in the land previously on the bills of Graspop, Dour and FiHP and already played the AB 4 times. The Datsuns are also faster and sharper than the rest, pretty essential live, with intense songs, strong riffs, fearless solos and gigantic guitar-orgies! Achievements are 'The Datsuns' (with the big hit 'Motherfucker From Hell'), 'Outta Sight / Outta Mind', 'Smoke And Mirrors' and the soon to be released fourth album 'Head Stunts' from which the single 'Highschool Hoodlums' is a resolute ode to AC/DC. Just quickly this closing comment from Rock & Folk: 'True children of rock'n'roll. The only ones able to parade on the path paved by by Led Zep, Deep Purple, Stooges, Heartbreakers and Nirvana'.

Support act for THE DATSUNS in De Zwerver in Oostende will be the ever impressive El Guapo Stuntteam. They already proved themselves here as support act to Danko Jones and in a Late Night formula for the Wolfmother concert. Their new album is already in the can but will only be released in early 2009. In the meantime enjoy with us their juicy, deep-in-the-70's-rooted rock ’n' roll, of which the examples can be found in the stuntteam's record cabinet: Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd or ZZ Top.
