Return of our favourite contemporary Ninja Tune jazz act
The Cinematic Orchestra is (finally) back! And there are quite a few fans waiting for that. Their concert last year in London’s Roundhouse (capacity: 3300) was sold out in no time and during their concert at the Cactus Festival the band proved that they are still relevant in 2016.
A bit strange really: as, since their start in ’99, the band has ‘only’ released 3 regular albums: ‘Motion’ (’99), ‘Every Day’ (’02) and ‘Ma Fleure’ (’07). Though this oeuvre has been augmented by a film score (‘Man With A Movie Camera’), a soundtrack (for Disney even) and a live-album (‘Live At The Royal Albert Hall’).
A new album is expected this fall and we are very much looking forward to that. But we’re keeping ourselves going in the meantime with the superb remix that TCO created for pride-of-Belgium Melanie Di Biasio.
