Fresh indie-pop from New Zealand (in collaboration with Flood Floorshows)
When The Beths released their debut album 'Future Me Hates Me' in 2018, everything changed. The DIY band from New Zealand received international attention from magazines like Pitchfork and Rolling Stone, and could suddenly tour the world and open for bands like Death Cab For Cutie, Weezer, Pixies and The Breeders.
Songwriter and singer Elizabeth Stokes has not been sitting still in the meantime, their second album 'Jump Rope Gazers' will be released on 10 July 2020 and in April 2021 they will appear live in AB!
This concert is in collaboration with Flood Floorshows. Theyāve been working on DIY shows, a vinyl label and distro since 2011. As no other, they really have their finger on the pulse when it comes to the subgenres of punk, indie, emo and hardcore scenes. They have a personal approach for promoting events with national and international artists, always working around three basic principles: passion, independence and amplification!
āWeāre passionate about working out shows whereby we do our very best to offer young artists opportunities in the larger club circuit. By āindependenceā we mainly mean that we donāt want to be weighed down by sponsors or permanent subsidies. In this way, we remain alert and active in our search for challenging and exciting new artists.ā - Kristof Van den Eede, founder of Flood Floorshows.
