'Part of the weekend never dies'
A key figure of the Belgian and international electronic music scene, Soulwax announces their return to the stage after a five-year absence. In 2024, the legendary electronica duo presents a brand new show with full band on stages in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom, not forgetting Belgium.
A lot has happened since Soulwax last took to the stage with their sonic laboratory, but you can be sure that the constant energy that has propelled the band forward their signature sound for nearly three decades is still there. Founded in 1995 by brothers Stephen and David Dewaele, Soulwax continues to push the boundaries of music into new and innovative territory. In addition to their band, the Dewaele brothers have a host of other projects under their belt: DJs (2manydjs), their own label (DEEWEE) and the Despacio sound system in collaboration with James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. The announcement of this new tour comes at just the right time for the duo, who just received the legendary "Outstanding Contribution to Music award in association with Merlin" at this year's AIM Awards, in recognition of their work and influence over more than three decades. Few artists can continue to reinvent themselves as successfully as Soulwax. Their return to the stage promises to set a new precedent in the electronic music scene. Their performance at AB on Jan. 29 is already a must-see, one that should be urgently noted in your calendar. The countdown has begun for Soulwax, who will prove once again that "part of the weekend never dies."
