Skunk Anansie is back! With a Greatest Hits tour that will be stopping at the AB on Friday 9 October, and apparently there is also a new album ‘Smashes and Trashes’ in the pipeline. Following the solo rambles of frontwoman Skin (in form 3 years ago on the ABstage), the original members found each other once again. Skin: ‘Basically we have never done a greatest hits album. We have been bugged to do it for ages and ages from various places but only now does everyone have time and want to do it. It will have new songs on it and you will start to hear some amazing remixes from rock and rave to dubstep, all very exciting’. The tour that will bring them to all the great stages again this Autumn is the first one in 8 years. Skunk Anansie was immensely popular here too. Singles like ‘Weak’, ‘Charlie Big Potato’, ‘Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)’, ‘Brazen’, all belong to the collective memory of those who were completely into rock at the end of the 90's. Don't miss this greatest hits feast.
Support act will be A. Human from Britain. Electronica, loops and skipping drum beats form the backbone of songs by this trio from London. Are inspired by their common love of Talking Heads and New Order. Their debut ‘Third Hand Prophecy’ was released in 2008.
