Ignatz (be)
The music of Ignatz – Bram Devens' alter ego – is extremely elusive and could easily have been plucked from the mother of all compilations: Harry Smith’s superb ‘Anthology Of American Folk Music’. But then with a serious dash of Velvet Underground. His latest album ‘Can I Go Home Now’ – another gem – was released via the quality Finnish indie label Fonal. Ignatz has already opened for artists like Ducktails, Six Organs of Admittance and Sir Richard Bishop and is certainly one of the recognizable characters in the Belgian music scene.

Few Bits (be)
Few Bits is the Antwerpian band encompassing singer-songwriter Karolien Van Ransbeeck, who recently released her untitled debut on the solid Zealrecords (purveyor of musical class like Isbells, Marble Sounds and Renée). Even before her debut was out, she had already stolen the hearts of Admiral Freebee, Heather Nova, I Blame Coco and Jessica Lea Mayfield and had the opportunity of honorarily opening for them. Her album resounds with the sounds of The Sundays and Mazzy Star. The press responded with praise: **** (De Morgen) and also: “An album that impresses. … Already a candidate for the end-of-year charts.”

Sam Amidon (us)
Things are going well for Sam Amidon, who now has Beth Orthon at his side as spouse. After three beautiful and compelling albums, it would seem that this folky troubadour's time has really now come. His latest album 'Bright Sunny South' is soon to be released via the famous Nonesuch label (see too: Brad Mehldau, Devendra Banhart, Lianne La Havas, Wilco...). On it, he receive the assistance of Thomas ‘Doveman’ Bartlett (Iron & Wine, The National, Sharon Van Etten), famous jazz trumpet player Kenny Wheeler and top producer Jerry Boys (Buena Vista Social Club, Ali Farka Toure, The Cat Empire,...).
Sam Amidon is still a part of Iceland's Bedroom Community collective (that also includes Valgeir Sigurðsson, Nico Muhly and Ben Frost behoren). He's already played three times in AB and appears now for the first time there where he's certainly most suited: the Feeërieën.
