Unbelievable. Singing along is unavoidable. Barely 21 years-old and this American multi-talent already reminds one of Bruce Springsteen, U2, Tom Petty, Elliott Murphy, The Band, Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Gene Clark...
We could continue for while, an entire stadium full, as we’re talking here about that powerful, epic sound. Or Americana, of course, but then the more accessible sort. Rock&Roll that gets your attention.
Robert Francis grew up in Los Angeles, with a classically trained father, a Mexican mother and indeed two sisters who can already sing along with him (one even has Ry Cooder as father-in-law!).
Following a modest first CD 'One By One', 'Before Nightfall' is here now too, his official Warner release, produced by D. Sardy (see also: Oasis, Red Hot Chili Peppers...). Then you can hear how Robert Francis can play brilliant guitar and all sorts of keyboards but especially also: how much his impressive voice stands out.
'Before Nightfall' will appeal to a large number of people. Be there on time, on this dark 15 March in the ABClub!
