Brussels chouchous pour their strange psych-pop into a debut!
Well into the summer of 2016, hip Brussels indie-birds that add a mature successor to two excellent EPs ‘Ages and Sun’ and ‘Lonely Carnivore’, via Pias. Forerunner ‘Eight Is The Figure That I Like The Most’, again flanked by a bizarre video-clip by talented photographer/director/provocateur Marine Dricot, epitomizes Robbing Millions: jumpy psych-pop drenched with crazy melodies, mad humour, skewed guitar jingles and danceable, jazzy drums.
With Nicolas Vernhes (Deerhunter, Dirty Projectors, Animal Collective) behind the dials, this first issue by AB’s former Artist In Residence (season’13-’14) certainly sounds like the music itself: sparkling and effervescent!
