Pre-listening session Brian Eno: 'Lux'
On November 12 Warp, that established progressive British label, will be releasing the new Brian Eno album, 'Lux'. It's a 75 minute long composition that came about due to an original idea for a piece of art by Eno that is currently to be seen in the Venaria Palace in Turin.
The album further develops the themes and sound of his classics, the likes of 'Music For Films', 'Music For Airports' and 'Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks'. He sees it as a continuation of his Music For Thinking project that commenced in 1975 with 'Discreet Music'.
Eno hardly needs introduction: musician, composer, producer, visual artist, philosopher, ... without him modern music wouldn't be what it is today and, in his case, that's probably even an understatement.
After London and New York, we are the 3rd venue to be able to hold a pre-listening session for the new album, 'Lux'. A unique chance to discover this new work, before the rest of the world and under ideal circumstances in the cosy surroundings of Huis23.
The listening session will be introduced in Dutch by Lies Steppe (radio Klara).
Seats are very limited so be quick to register via reservationshuis23@abconcerts.be with subject Eno.
