Has he been in the country before? Maybe hitchhiking with a guitar and stubbly beard? Pete Yorn certainly seems to be the archetype of the ever-roaming loner singer-songwriter. One of those artists that stops off at many stages along his unpredictable way and occasionally also steals away the most beautiful girl in town? What about when the latter also happens to be called Scarlett Johansson!? Then you get a successful duet CD like 'Break Up' in 2009, with that delicious single 'Relator', and the likes of an album gone gold in France!
Pete Yorn has now been doing a good job it for more than ten years and five CDs. His first albums apparently form a spontaneous trilogy: 'Musicforthemorningafter', 'Day I Forgot' and 'Nightcrawler' (do you get it, the chronological link?). Maybe you also know him from the soundtrack of 'Me, Myself & Irene', or even from 'Shrek 2' (the version of 'Ever Fallen In Love With Someone?').
'PY', alias Pete Yorn of course, this is his latest CD (out here via Because/Warner and produced by Frank - Pixies - Black). After his extremely extensive US tour this spring now finally, almost touchable, in the ABClub!
