With his new album ‘Hvelreki’, Piet Goddaer writes the next chapter of the impressive works of his musical alter ego Ozark Henry. Over the last two years, Goddaer has written over fifty songs, which he has distilled into his sixth studio album. Its title refers to an expression used in Iceland to wish someone good luck. Literally translated it means ‘may a whole whale wash up on your beach’. With this positive message, Ozark Henry managed to convince the producer Youth (U2, The Verve, Crowded House) to produce the new album. Youth is also well known as the bass player in Killing Joke. Together, they headed off to a remote studio in Spain where they recorded the album live. Since then, Goddaer has come under the wing of EMI who are releasing the album in no fewer than seven European countries. And, to lend weight to this release, Ozark Henry is returning to the place he knows best: the AB.
