The all-star punk-rock band! The ultimate cover band! Having Fun is pretty much Me First and The Gimme Gimme's only reason for being. This Californian band consists of Fat Mike (NOFX frontman and conceiver of the Fat Wreck label on which MF&TGG albums are also released) and Joey Cape (Lagwagon frontman and consequently a living legend of the punk-rock scene). Further, we see singer Spike Slawson, who gets up to stuff in San Francisco with street-punkers The Swinging Utters, and we know drummer Dave Raun from both the previously mentioned Lagwagon and also from hardcore punk band Kids On LSD. In 2006, guitarist Chris Shiflett swapped his spot in the Gimmes for one with the Foo Fighters and he was replaced by Brian Baker from Bad Religion and Minor Threat.
The album ‘Have Another Ball’ was released in 2008, containing the remaining – but no less festive - covers that they had recorded for their debut ‘Have A Ball’ 10 years ago. They've covered performers as diverse as Whitney Houston, Neil Diamond or John Denver.
Support act will be Useless ID, from Israel, with their infectious power-punk. Who previously hooked support act to bands like No Use For A Name and Me First & The Gimme Gimmes. Have been around for about 15 years now and last year released their sixth studio album, with the title ‘The Lost Broken Bones’, superbly produced by Bill Stevenson (Descendents).Party on Whit Monday!
