Post-pop with an innovative, radical sound by the members of Efterklang
A Liveurope concert:
The first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote emerging European music.
On November 3 we will see the release of ‘1982’, Liima’s second album. The band – that consists of three Efterklang members and drummer Tatu Rönkkö – has again managed to reinvent itself and leave comfort zones far behind. The band was inspired by the early years of the ‘80s for this successor to debut album ‘ii’, that was the period they grew up in. ‘I think our collective memory and consciousness as a band is shaped from being born in the beginning of the 80’s’ says Casper. ‘It’s a time and place that I keep returning to, to understand and make sense of. It has a lot of personal relevance and so little at the same time, because in time and space it is far away… Everything is changing all the time, nostalgia is looking back, but I’m on the run, even when I stand still.’
