1997: Armed only with an analogue synth, a sampler, rhythm box, a sequencer, a few guitars and effect pedals, a toy piano, a cheap microphone and a mini-disc recorder, Jürgen De Blonde – aka Köhn - recorded his debut album in his bedroom/studio. The CD release took place a year later, catalogue number k-007, on Belgium’s inimitable KRAAK label.

Flash forward to autumn 2019: Cortizona – the Belgian label that specialises in clean-cut high quality re-releases – puts out ‘Köhn’ on vinyl for the first time. It becomes a remastered, double album in 300 copies, with new liner notes by Jürgen De Blonde himself and Brecht Ameel van Razen.

To mark the re-release, De Blonde plays a number of exclusive quadraphonic concerts with the music of the time.
