The now 28-year-old Canadian artiest Kara-Lis Coverdale (K-LC) has been playing the organ in various Canadian churches since the age of 13 and was already an improvisational virtuoso at a very young age. She came into contact with electro-acoustic music during her piano, composition and musicology studies at the University of Western Ontario, then integrating electronica & digital processes into her compositions. She has already worked with the likes of Tim Hecker (on his latest album Love Streams and his masterpiece Virgins, amongst others) , Lee Bannon (Ninja Tune) and How To Dress Well and released 3rd album Aftertouches in 2015, and album that appeared in a many a year-end chart (The Wire, NPR, The Quietus,…).
This fall she will play a Belgian exclusive in Huis23. A not to be missed concert for fans of Tim Hecker, Lorenzo Senni, Peder Mannerfelt, Helm, …
