Provocative & intoxicating, dreamy pop gems from California
“Her songs are challenging, expansive and cinematic, turning minimalist melodies on their heads and redefining the limits of pop.” (Q Magazine)
“This is wild music, an immediate pop whirl that should make Holter’s genius apparent to all.” (NME)
“Een kroonjuweel, niet minder dan lichtjes fantastisch, speels en toch verdiepend. Een begenadigd artiest schuilt in haar.” (Enola)
‘Have You In My Wilderness’, the fourth album by Californian, classically schooled pianist/singer Julia Holter, will be launched into the dream-pop heavens at the end of September 2015 – again via the outstanding Domino Records. For this issue, Holter took a little more time than for her previous three generally praised longplayers and dove into the bedroom for a year, again with sound-architect Cole M. Greif-Neill - who already earned his stripes (and Grammy Awards) with Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Beck, Caribou and with spouse Ramona Gonzalez or Nite Jewel.
