Having visited AB 10 times (and counting), you can safely say that José James is now an AB regular. Even more exceptional: there has been no other international artist to, at the request of AB, create two unique productions for this venue. Think: ‘Facing East’ (a tribute to jazz legend John Coltrane) that he put together in collaboration with Jef Neve, but also: ‘Yesterday I Had The Blues’, an arresting ode to Billie Holiday that was even released internationally (via the legendary Blue Note Records). His latest visit (’18) was a lively tribute to his hero Bill Withers.

This time José James is presenting his latest album ‘No Beginning No End 2’ that navigates musically between jazz, blues, gospel, mid-'60s pop-soul, Memphis r&b and organic disco. The host of guest vocals on the album is certainly impressive, with Aloe Blacc, Laura Mvula, Taali, Lizz Wright and Hindi Zahra.
